Main research question
How do rule-based structures of interdependence shape coordination and collective musical agency in co-located collective music-making?
Subquestions
SQ1 — Existing patterns. What structures of dependency, coordination and mapping do existing co-located sound works use?
SQ2 — Coordination. How do different dependency conditions change the way participants notice, adapt to and coordinate with one another?
SQ3 — Agency. How do they change the musical agency and collective agency that participants perceive?
Scope
- Multiple participants, bodily co-presence, and making sound together
- Music as the shared outcome
