Everything taken from somebody else’s writing. Three kinds, filed separately because they are used differently.
| Folder | What goes in it | One page is |
|---|---|---|
| Papers | Papers I have read | One paper |
| Concepts | Ideas lifted out of those papers | One concept |
| Methods | Procedures for doing research | One method |
Adding something
A paper gets a page when it has been read, and one type/ tag saying what kind of contribution it makes. Concepts and methods get pages when they are lifted out of a paper that already has one — so a concept page always has a paper behind it.
What is not here yet
Which of this the thesis actually draws on. The three pages below are placeholders: each folder holds everything read so far, and the part that survives into the thesis will be written onto its index by hand. Ranking the whole archive against the question was tried once and went stale the moment the question turned, so it is not being done again.
