Claudia Molitor with Tullis Rennie · 2018–19
A fifty-minute performance combining film, pre-recorded material and notated material, which toured Europe and the United States from November 2018 through 2019. At each venue Molitor and Rennie were joined by a different guest artist, who brought their own practice into the piece rather than reading a fixed part: Kelly Jane Jones (hcmf//, 2018), John Butcher and Alison Blunt (IKLECTIK and hcmf//, 2019), Line Upon Line (Austin, 2019), Gerrit Valckenaers (Transit, 2019), Sanne Rambags (November Music, 2019), Pete Stollery (Sound Festival, 2019), George Kentros (Sound of Stockholm, 2019).
Each performance changed the next one. In the project’s own words, “through this cumulative process, which slowly eroded the ‘original’ 50 minute performance, an evolving multi-authored work emerged.” A recording was released on vinyl by multi.modal in November 2019.
