Methods, not findings. Thematic analysis is not a result; it is the procedure that holds interview transcripts still long enough to work on them. Nobody reads a thesis for its coding procedure — but without one, the interviews are just anecdotes.
Where they come from
Mostly reverse-engineered from the Method sections of papers in Readings. Read enough of them and the same few procedures keep appearing — which is the field telling you what it accepts as a legitimate way to know something.
The rule
Each page says what the method is for and when to reach for it — never “read this book”. Knowing when to use something beats having read it cover to cover.
Status
Four collected. One of them, thematic analysis, has to be read before the ZHdK residency rather than after the data exists — currently the most overdue item here.
